Cedar Point knows how to do fall right. From spooky attractions to family-friendly fun, HalloWeekends has become one of our favorite times to visit the park.

Whether you are planning a visit with young kids or looking for haunted houses and nighttime scares, HalloWeekends has something for everyone. We have visited this event over the years and always find new ways to enjoy it, whether we are there for tricks, treats, or coasters in the dark.

This guide covers everything you need to know for HalloWeekends 2026, including what is new this year, what to expect for families and thrill-seekers, and tips for making the most of your fall visit.

What Is Cedar Point HalloWeekends?

HalloWeekends is Cedar Point’s long-standing fall and Halloween-themed special event. It takes place on select nights toward the end of Cedar Point’s operating season, starting mid-September and ending around Halloween.  (opens in a new tab)

The special event features family-friendly activities and entertainment for families and younger guests. HalloWeekends offers plenty of scares and thrills for more mature guests. You’ll find indoor haunted house-style mazes, outdoor scare zones, monsters, and more. Don’t forget about access to your favorite Cedar Point rides and attractions. The park is covered in festive Halloween and Fall decorations that set the mood.

HalloWeekends 2026

For the 2026 season, HalloWeekends will run on select dates from September 17 through November 1.

  • Thursdays: 6 PM – Midnight
  • Fridays & Saturdays: 11 AM – Midnight
  • Sundays: 11 AM – 8 PM

Cedar Point HalloWeekends Features

Cedar Point has announced the 2026 HalloWeekends dates, but full event details have not yet been released. The information below reflects the 2025 event and will be updated as Cedar Point announces the complete 2026 HalloWeekends lineup.

Indoor Haunted Mazes

One of the biggest recent changes to HalloWeekends is that access to the park’s indoor haunted mazes is no longer included with general park admission.

Guests must now purchase a separate Haunted Attractions Pass to enter any of the indoor haunted mazes. The pass starts at $10 per person and can be added when buying tickets online. Season Passholders must also purchase a Haunted Attractions Pass to enter the indoor haunted mazes. Maze access is not included with any season pass.

Indoor Haunted Mazes:
• The Haunting of Eerie Estate
• Slaughter House
• Fearground Freakshow
• Blood Bath
• Midnight (featuring Mr. Midnight)
• New: The Conjuring: Beyond Fear, a SCREAMium experience inspired by The Conjuring Universe (requires its own timed access ticket).

Guests without a Haunted Attractions Pass can still experience Cedar Point rides, outdoor scare zones, and daytime events, but they will not have access to these haunted mazes.

This marked a significant shift in how Cedar Point structures HalloWeekends admission and is something to keep in mind when planning your visit.

Outdoor Scare Zones

Outdoor Scare Zones include returning favorites and updated designs:

  • Cornstalkers 2.0: Revenge of the Pumpkin Heads
  • Blood on the Bayou: Into The Fog
  • Cut Throat Cove
  • Tombstone Terror-Tory
  • Clownz: Death Metal Tour

Outdoor scare zones operate during Nighttime Frights; check the Cedar Point app for locations and hours.

Other HalloWeekends entertainment

Cedar Point’s Halloween-themed shows bring music, comedy, and energy to HalloWeekends nights. These performances are included with HalloWeekends admission and run on select evenings throughout the event.

  • The SKA-letons!: A lively ska band that shakes the stage with undead grooves and bone-rattling beats.
  • Wake the Dead: ‘Til Death Do Us Part: A musical mystery where a family stands trial for the murder of Violet Ophelia Warwick.
  • The Shrieks! Contamination: Sing along to pop hits with The Shrieks, reimagined for a brand-new year of fear.
  • Skeleton Crew: A returning fan favorite featuring high-flying acrobatics, trampoline stunts, and undead performers.
  • Butchers of Rock: A hard-hitting rock concert with a sinister Halloween twist.
  • Fangs: After Dusk: 80s-inspired vampires light up the stage with humor, music, and spooky theatrics.

HalloWeekends entertainment runs all evening, so you can catch a show between haunted mazes or family rides. For showtimes and availability, check the Cedar Point mobile app on the day of your visit.

Park Rides & Attractions Operating During HalloWeekends

Many of Cedar Point’s biggest roller coasters operate throughout HalloWeekends, including fan favorites like Top Thrill 2, Millennium Force, Maverick, and Steel Vengeance. Several other rides also remain open in The Boardwalk, making it another great area to explore during your visit. Ride availability can change throughout the season due to weather and other operational factors, so check the Cedar Point app for the current operating status before heading across the park.

Since HalloWeekends takes place in the fall, Cedar Point Shores Waterpark is closed for the season.

HalloWeekends Dining

HalloWeekends features a wide range of seasonal snacks, specialty drinks, and limited-time menu items available throughout the park. Guests can expect fall-inspired favorites such as pumpkin-flavored treats, hearty comfort foods, and signature HalloWeekends beverages.

Cedar Point rotates many of its menus during HalloWeekends, so specific offerings may vary by week and location. The best way to view current dining options and locations is through the Cedar Point mobile app or in-park signage.

Special themed cocktails and Halloween-inspired drinks are typically offered throughout HalloWeekends, including the fan-favorite “blood bag” beverages available at select locations.

Kid-Friendly HalloWeekends Experiences

HalloWeekends isn’t just about the scares. It’s packed with fun for kids and families, too. All daytime attractions are included with park admission unless otherwise noted.

Here’s what little ghosts and goblins can look forward to this year:

  • Crazy Corn Box: Step into a giant box filled with thousands of corn kernels and let the fun pop. It’s corny in the best way.
  • Harvest Tractors: Little ghouls pedal their way through a harvest course on mini tractors. Ages 8 & under.
  • Howlin’ Hay Maze: Navigate twists and turns in a hay maze designed for family fun.
  • Tricky Corn Maze: Find your way through a kid-friendly corn maze full of kooky surprises.
  • Diggin’ Up Bones: Search for spooky treasures in a Halloween-themed sandbox dig site.
  • Boneyard Jamboree: Make some noise and create musical mayhem on a wall of bones, pots, and pans.
  • Spooky Eye Spy: Hunt for spooky-fun objects hidden around the area in this interactive seek-and-find game.
  • Kooky Crafts: Get creative with Halloween mask or bracelet crafts. Limit one craft per visit.
  • Pumpkin Patch Picking: Pick your perfect pumpkin to take home. One time per visit.
  • Pumpkin Decorating: Paint or decorate your pumpkin masterpiece and show off your Halloween style.
  • Monster Makeovers: Airbrush artists create masks and makeup looks that turn kids into spooky creatures. Nominal fee applies.
  • Ghoulish Game Zone: Play themed carnival-style games designed just for HalloWeekends fun. Nominal fee experience.

Each activity is designed for families with children ages 12 and under, and adults are welcome to join in the fun. Check the Cedar Point app for times, locations, and any last-minute changes.

Cedar Point HalloWeekends Tickets

HalloWeekends uses a tiered ticketing structure that separates general park admission from access to indoor haunted attractions.

General Admission: Starts from $45 online (plus tax). Prices vary by date and are higher at the gate.
Haunted Attractions Pass: Required to enter any indoor haunted maze; starts at $10 per person (plus tax) and can be added to any ticket.
Bundle Ticket Option: A combined ticket that includes park admission and the Haunted Attractions Pass is available online. Pricing varies by night.
Season Passholder Discounts: Passholders can purchase discounted HalloWeekends Bring-A-Friend Tickets on select dates (see website for availability).

Guests who do not purchase the Haunted Attractions Pass can still enjoy rides, outdoor scare zones, and daytime events, but will not have access to the indoor haunted mazes.

Be sure to select the ticket type that matches your plans before buying. General admission does not include access to the indoor haunted mazes.

Season Passholders can purchase Bring-A-Friend Tickets starting at $25 (plus tax) for select HalloWeekends dates. These tickets must be purchased online in advance and are valid only for the date selected.

Prices and availability vary by date and are subject to change without notice. Some add-ons and haunted attractions may sell out, especially on peak weekends.

Access to The Conjuring: Beyond Fear requires a separate timed Access Pass or combo ticket. It is not included with general admission, the Haunted Attractions Pass, or any HalloWeekends bundle.

HalloWeekends Fright Lane passes

Cedar Point offers a Haunted Attractions Express Pass that provides priority access to the indoor haunted mazes.

The Haunted Attractions Express Pass gives guests priority access to the haunted mazes, allowing them to skip the regular lines. It can be purchased as an optional add-on when buying park tickets online.

Starting Price: Around $69 (plus tax)
Includes: Priority entry for haunted mazes and a single entry to The Conjuring: Beyond Fear.
Does not include park admission

HalloWeekends No Boo Necklace

No Boo Necklaces are still available, but both the price and rules have changed slightly.

  • Price: $17.99 (plus tax)
  • Where it works: Wearing the necklace reduces monster interactions only in the outdoor scare zones.
  • Where it doesn’t: The necklace does not apply inside any indoor haunted mazes or The Conjuring: Beyond Fear experience.

This necklace is ideal for kids or anyone who wants to explore the nighttime atmosphere without the jump scares. It’s available as an add-on both online and in the park.
